The USDA did two appalling things recently.
1) It said that those lovely Iberico hams must now arrive sans black hooves. This, of course, does not impact taste or quality on its own, but the black hooves are a symbol of Spanish hospitality. They also verify that you are, indeed, in possession of this most gourmet of piglets. Mmmmm Iberico.
2) It put forth a 100% tariff on all these porkers (they all come in from Spain). What was once expensive is now doubly so. How will I manage?
This is really just a travesty.
