
I graduated this past Friday, but rather than backpacking through Europe, doing a grand road trip of the United States, or any number of other typical things that one does in the summer following one’s graduation, I am hoping to be gainfully employed. As of right now, there are a couple of prospects, but nothing set in stone.
I’m writing this here because, well, anyone reading this knows me primarily as a food blogger, whether it’s your first time reading this site or whether you’ve read all my whimsical musings and verbose dish analyses since I started this site a little less than a year ago. But I really, really want to spend my summer making every attempt to approach the food industry from every angle possible: not only from the computer keyboard that I use to write these posts, but also in kitchens to help with food prep and in restaurants as a waitress.
If anyone knows of a restaurant here in New Orleans that’s hiring (busgirls, waitresses, hostesses, kitchen workers, whatever), drop me a line! I’d love to hear from you.
