This monstrosity was present at a 4th of July celebration I attended on Derby, Mississippi. My close family friend Jessica made it; I stayed at their house and woke up to the smell of this mostly butter crust wafting through the old cottage and sneaking in fragrant ribbons under my door. In case you can’t surmise proportions here, allow me to demontrate just how HUGE this pie is (filled with eight full cups of blueberries) alongside my phone:

Massive. Intimidating. Hulking. This thing could dwarf a beagle. And while I can testify to that fantastically odiferous butter crust (don’t you love how rustic and humble it is?) and the pip-popping of piping-hot blueberries straight from the oven, this was purely a tantalizing sight, as I had to leave the celebration early if I was to make the cupcakes for my family’s separate grilling party that night. Alas…

NNNNNNNGGGGGHHHHHH. i want to sit in it. i love the picture of audrey
