A generous spread of smoky blue cheese, melt-in-your-mouth creamy with just the most graceful, subtle smoky aftertaste, is espoused perfectly with an abundance of thinly sliced roast beef, which is so tender and sweet that it just TASTES pink. The two are housed between two slices of sweet, sturdy bread, laden with seeds and grains. Spinach and tomato are tossed in for good measure, and a light coat of mayo helps it go down easy. St. James Cheese Company, you really know how to do lunch.

I adore St.James Cheese Co. Their lunch sandiwiches are out of this world, terrible memorable. I’ve not had the Smokey Blue but the Brie and French Ham is my favorite to date.
I always end up leaving there with more cheese and smoked meats then 2 people can eat but its one of my (many) foodie vices
Love your blog, great to find another young local foodie!!
Oh my, this looks amazing! Nice blog!!
Jen: I see the Brie and ham sandwich every time I go, and it’s either sold out or I just end up choosing something else. It appeals to me, but then, there’s not a single sandwich there that doesn’t. For a while, I couldn’t tear myself from the mozzarella (plus salami and pesto on ciabatta) sandwich. I’ve now gotten past that phase and moved on to smokey blue.
I totally second the excitement about finding another young local foodie! Maybe sometime we should meet for lunch at St. James and help each other to overcome our sandwich fixations in favor of broader horizons…
Carli: Thanks so much, glad you like it! I like your blog quite a lot too
so fun.
