
I found this yesterday while perusing Serious Eats – it’s chef Shaun Hergatt’s slow-poached egg in cauliflower purée, topped with caviar and gold leaf, but it looks more like an ornate piece of art that I’d have stumbled upon in the Louvre. Hearing the description behind the image calls to mind a really enthralling array of textures. Perhaps it’s a touch too ostentatious… but how often can you say your dinner is multimedia?
