This is a Great Dane.
And this is a greatish danish.
It’s from beloved Providence bakery Seven Stars. The flaky pastry on the outside was perhaps gratuitously glazed with sugar, encircling a dense fuchsia throng of sweet, soft raspberries. The berries were better than the pastry, which was sweet and golden but a bit tacky – not as ethereal as I might’ve hoped. Still, if you’re looking for an excellent way to start the day, this is a far better pick than steel-cut oats.
