I just came across this promo for the Sydney International Food Festival, which depicts many countries’ flags using artfully arranged popular regional foods. Below are some favorites. With artwork like this, I can only imagine how good the actual production was! I envy SIFF’s attendants… almost as much as I envy the people who were lucky enough to be in NOLA for this year’s Po-Boy Fest.
Japan: Love that perfect, unblemished sashimi - it's almost tongue-in-cheek.
Such an excess of feta and olives for Greece.
India: Anything with chicken tikka masala garners my full support, so this is a shoo-in.
France: The essence of my trip to Paris, minus gratuitous amounts of chocolate and baguettes (and falafel).
Vietnam: Words cannot describe how badly I want this framed.
